on Friday i had my first costume party in the pantry - it's to honour those who performed well in their departments - but really, it was just another excuse to get drunk and dance...happens too much in our office.

i was really excited about it because i have never been to a costume party before. to be honest, i was exposed to alot of partying and different kinds of fun ever since i worked for BB.i really love our pantry and how it was transformed to fit the theme of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - and the Hollywood night.we had Italian food that night but honestly if you asked me, i think the food sucks - yet i think it costed a bomb.some people started changing at 430pm to avoid the mad rush for changing rooms at 6pm. it was a hilarious sight seeing people still working on their computers with that costume! can you imagine that at 430pm some of our clients were still in our office?? LOL!sorry bro - i really cannot help but notice the crouch - i think you need a groin guard. and for those who still cannot tell, this guy is Peter Pan.the card soldiers found Alice in Wonderland!yup, you're not seeing things - it's the chocolate fountain!!one thing i love about BB - they only serve the best champagne - Moet & Chandon - i simply LOVE IT.i love this picture!! brings back my childhood memories.introducing bimbo mel on the left and "tina" who tries to act "manly" on the right.Captain and i - love-hate relationship.Suph trying to be cat woman - so funny, we had to force her into that sexy top - she scared her boyfriend will get heart attack. lol.this is our Asia office's biggest boss - he was dressed as Willy Wonka - damn tall lor he..took a shot with the guys from News department - the lady in the picture is our News Anchor :)ben was the party host - the amount of makeup he has on his face is unbelieveable, i will probably never have as much makeup as him in my whole life... unless i change job as an opera singer. heh.by the end of it, i was half-drunk and damnnn sleepy!!

the contented

i didnt have to go to work so stayed at home to watch the Olympics. it's the first time in history (at least in Singapore) that a TKD competition is being broadcasted so comprehensively - from 3pm to 9pm.

in my living room sat some top TKD players in Singapore who are as passionate (if not more passionate than me) about TKD. we watched world class players compete in the Olympics - cheering, analyzing the matches and laughing at the crap commentaries given...

in TV i saw familiar faces as my friends from other countries compete in Olympics, and saw my TKD instructor refereeing the matches... (he is the only Singapore referee in the Olympics)

what more can i ask for?

new found motivation

yesterday.. i have a new found motivation to continue my employment with BB and only LL knows WHY! - not only i have motivation to continue working in BB, i think LL has a greater motivation to stop me from quitting BB. LL hor?? ... so what's the "motivation"? - hmm.. cannot say here leh. lalalalala...

i had a pleasant surprise this morning when i came to work. there was this BB Wonka Chocolate bar sitting on top of my keyboard - not just me but everyone in the office had one.inside the chocolate bar was this entry ticket to our office costume party next Friday. i remember last year's theme was pink Arabic night where everyone came in pink Arabic costumes. they brought the entire wine-bar to our pantry and everyone was drunk on free-flow mohito by like 8pm.i'm so looking forward to the costume party next week! my team is going down to this costume shop to pick something to wear for next Friday. the best part about this is - it's fully sponsored. hahaha.. damn shiok. :)

so what should i dress up as? - the theme for this year is hollywood movie character - maybe i'll dress up as a fruit or something.. fruits appear on alot of hollywood movie before what!

all play and no work makes PQ a very happy girl

i just realised that i seldom blog about work now which is a VERY GOOD thing. i've heard so much complaints from my friends that all i talk about was work - that is when i first started with BB. hah now i'm like, switched off after 6. sometimes before 6 :)

went to try out the cable ski at East Coast Park yesterday afternoon. when i arrived there alone (cos others were late) i felt like backing out because everyone who was at the ski was damn pro lor. sometimes i cannot stand myself for being so "thin-skinned", everything also scared paiseh. in the end when everyone was here we went ahead anyways, except for LL who doesn't know how to swim. ironically she was the one who suggested the ski. if there's a next time, i'll make sure i try my best to psycho her to hit the waters!LL made herself useful by being the camera-woman for the day who took some amazing shots! this cable ski thingy is addictive. it's a challenge to stay on the water. my motivation to stay on water was 1) i'm a lousy swimmer 2) if you fall halfway through you'll have to swim on shore, carry the skis and walk all the way back to starting point - which really sux. yeah, i was grabbing on to those cables like mad.it was a hot sunny late afternoon and yet not too hot - perfect. this time i wasn't even bothered to apply any sunblock since i was not done peeling yet from the diving trip last month - don't think it can get any worse. heh.i'm like a bronze statue standing in the middle of two super fair skinned people. this morning when i woke up, i couldn't feel my body. the ache i have now cannot be described. it's a blend of squash + TKD + cable ski muscle sores.

today is Sunday and i am going to watch Money No Enough 2 with the mum and the dad. very good, no need to twitch a muscle. just need a pair of eyes to watch and my mouth to eat popcorn. but must be mindful not to laugh too hard because it will put my abdominal muscles to work.

55 golden years of her life

mum turned 55 this year! ~ and she still looks very young. haha i got to thank her for my good genes - and thats prolly the only good thing i got out of her. =_=" i'm grateful to her whenever the hair salon lady offer me student price heh heh.

mum went to the spa and hair salon in the day. i knocked off at 430 and the plan for the night was to go for dinner at Vivo, then Sentosa then desserts at Keppel Bay!mum and dad really enjoyed the food that night and that made me really happy. dad polished off the entire claypot "assam" fishhead.after dinner we went to Sentosa for the new musical fountain show - "Songs of the Sea". i must say for a $8 entrance ticket it was totally worth it. you enjoy the laser show, musical fountain, and even fireworks! i thought was really good, although i miss the old school musical fountain i visited when i was still young.we also took the tiger beer 360 degree viewing gallery ride for a bird's eye view of Singapore's night scenary.chocolate truffle at Keppel Bay gave the night a very, very sweet ending.

Happy Birthday Mummy! Love you (but also abit hate you.. :P)

ok, i did the darnest thing over the weekend - i went to sign up for TKD Nationals. and if anyone can remember my blog entries in Aug 2006 - i made a very touching goodbye speech saying that i will retire. ahaha bull shit!

well, many people are giving me different views

1) you should not fight this time, because its a lose-lose situation. if you win the championship everyone will just say.."it's just another of PQ's gold medals" but if you lose, you will lose all your reputation

2) if you miss competitions, then just do it. the record is there for you to keep, so what if you lose this time? the fact that you won it 7 times consecutively wont be gone

3) dont fight lah, give young people a chance

4) fight lah, you are still very young

older by another year and not by choice part 2

**LEISURE DIVE TRIP IN TIOMAN**
was treated to this leisure dive trip by my buddy Mel. i am amazed at how the group trusted me so much to drive up to Mersing at night despite the fact that they know i dont have my astig glasses with me, it was night time - i cannot see, and i have absolutely no sense of direction. they can even tell me to speed faster because they want to get there in time to eat at the very nice Chinese restaurant which closes at 10... before going to sleep at the back of the car. my friends rock! -- eh but my driving skills is buay pai one ok. :Pwe stayed at this resort for 3 days 2 nights, of which 2 days 1 night had NO ELECTRICITY. thankss arr, go shower also much bring handphone in to double up as torch light. no heater for hot water also. #$%^&it was such a conincidence that another leisure diver in this trip share the same birthday as me, exactly 20th July.. i didnt know her before this trip though.the 4 of us dived as a group.some of the DARK SEAL Diving Team members were also in this trip!hope to go for another Live On Board trip with my friends at work. just found out that many of them dive as well, i think it will be pretty interesting.

**BIRTHDAY DINNER**
and yes seems like i have grown older by yet another year...not by choice. i originally intended to hold a big ass birthday bash this year because i have never actually had a birthday party since my 1 year old birthday. and those who came to my party then were obviously not my friends. heh. yeah i didnt even celebrate my 21st. i was busy training for the SEA Games somewhere else in this part of the world.

anyhows, so many exciting things have happened to me throughout the previous week. couple of close friends from work brought me to dinner at this place in United Square. the food was awesome (the pork knuckle is OMG *slurp*) and it had over 100 kinds of different beers to choose from. from strawberry to honey.. *think jolly shandy and you get the idea.halfway throughout dinner the live band started playing the Happy Birthday song and i was like "walau dont be so kuazhang can?!" ... then here comes the cake. the embarrassment was unbelieveble, and those who knows me, will know i will be super shy about this kindof situation. paisehz to the maximimum. but oh well, the cake was very delicious so i quickly forgot about it. :)was a very nice dinner instead, gave me a really warm feeling which is probably better than a big ass birthday bash eh?
