i lost my....

went to Gleneagles this morning for my annual health screening and the nurse gave me a plastic bottle to collect my urine sample when i arrived. (haha i am always reminded of my dope testing experience at the Vietnam SEA Games each time when i'm asked to provide my urine sample!! - it was traumatic!) then i was thinking to myself why didn't they give me another plastic bottle for my stool sample, because that's what other medical health screeners do but did not ask any further.

so i went through all the normal checkups like ECG, eyesight, lungs and X-rays etc and finally got to see the medical doctor. the doctor started asking all the usual questions like "do you smoke? do you drink?"... yada yada yada......her final question was: "i'm going to collect your stool sample later by sticking a finger in, are you fine with it?"

OMG i was like SUPER FREAKED OUT by what i heard cos i wasn't expecting this to happen to me at like 10am in the morning! to be exact, i wasn't expecting this to happen to me at any point in my life!!!

but i managed to keep my cool and gave her my reply...............

let's just say............ i'm no longer a virgin OF THE ASS

decision making

i was crossing the road on wednesday after work and it was a 'green man' turning 'red man' kindof situation. this STUPID driver in a red SUV had purposely stepped on his accelarator very hard as soon as the lights turned green for him. his car came on quite fast and i could have been hit if i hadn't avoid it quick enough.....

various thoughts went though my head just as it happened. so, my ex-national athlete instinct told me to quickly jump aside to avoid the car... but the office-lady-who's-tired-of-working side of me realised how good it will be if i get hit accidentally because then i can go on a long hospitalisation leave! no, not that i'm tired of living, but because i was already in the process of 'siam-ing' the car. i was at an angle where even if the car really had hit me, it won't be a die-on-the-spot kindof accident. it's probably going to be some abrasion or bruises (like small injuries) i can even play up my injuries later... because the driver had a very 'guai lan' face and he was really inconsiderate to be driving recklessly so it'd be good if i can make things difficult for him after the accident. muahahaha...anyways so i was thinking alot in my head.. it was very complicated! because suddenly i'm reminded of my three week "june holidays"... so even if i'm hospitalised now it's also not going to be worth it, however at the same time it was a golden opportunity! - like how often do you get run over by a car right??

it was a very complex decision i had to make in a very short time, i was very confused!! in the end i chose to jump aside. hah. better luck next time! :p

excited

i'm going for a dental surgery in the second week of june to remove a wisdom tooth. no, not excited about the dentist visit as i absolutely dread seeing dentists ever since primary school, in fact i'm having the jitters just by writing about it... but what excites me is the 5 days worth of medical leave i can get! if it's going to be a painful process, i guess i might as well make it all worthwhile right?. v(*.*)v

right after the one week sick leave i'll go on leave for another two straight weeks where i will be spending time with the sis in London. so that's three freaking weeks off work!!! haha feel like i'm having june school holidays again.

i hope to come back all refreshed and ready to take on the challenges at work!

the mum and her vacuum cleanerS

the mum bought a freaking $3,500 vacuum cleaner. read: THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FREAKING DOLLARS!!!! she is seriously OUT OF HER MIND. i'm super pissed off, like SUPER. i refuse to talk to her now and i REFUSE to learn how to operate that expensive piece of shit. btw this stupid vacuum cleaner is in addition to the one which we already have at home. the old one (which is STILL NEW) was about $1,000... and yes, the crazy mum thinks we still have use for ANOTHER vacuum cleaner at home.

just recently i have been trying to stay active again. for a start i've been going back to TKD twice a week and badminton once a week! i often feel lethargic and unmotivated to get out and do anything ever since i've started working almost 2 years ago. i'm glad i'm doing something to break the the work-eat-watch tv-sleep kind of regime. love the action, love the sweat! lovit lovit!and yes, this is a habit brought over from TKD, no matter how good/bad you can play in a sports, just buy the best brand of equipments first. haha.pretty awesome that i'm playin badminton once again with people from my secondary school badminton team! this photo has an effect that looks like one that's taken out from the yearbook. hmm but no... our team never made it to any year book. hah!great team! i hope we can locate more and more ex BV badminton team players, wootz!

白萝卜还是红萝卜 (with baby photo!!)

i went to WY's baby shower last sunday at werners oven in siglap, her baby sam has finally decided to look like an ang moh now (thank god haha). baby sam is part singaporean chinese and part irish and has a chinese name: 米政宇. sam's dad's last name is mealy and hence the surname 米. this is baby sam in one of the three GAP baby suits i gave him!now the mealy senior wants to get a chinese name too because everyone in the family has one. WY asked me for some suggestions. mealy senior's first name is kenneth (too hard to translate) and middle name robert, so i told WY his chinese name can be 米萝卜! and since mealy is obviously white, he can be a 白萝卜 instead of a 红萝卜! hee hee hee. 不管是白萝卜还是红萝卜，只要香甜就是好萝卜！

obviously she's not liking the idea that her husband is being called a carrot or raddish for that matter. and so i was being scolded for being 没墨水! hah.

back to the baby shower, wow the food that day was awesome. the german sauerkraut was oh-so-good that i can finish the entire bowl if no one was watching. i should go back for a meal soon because i'm sure their pork knuckle will be good too!!

today i huffed and puffed and nearly blew the office down with my *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* my neighbour (person sitting beside me) kept telling me to go home cos he's worried about getting infected hohoho. so my neighbour decided to help HINT my boss into letting me go home for the day.

neighbour: eh PQ is coughing very badly
me: haha yah lo

neighbour: yah lor, later you pass germs to me
THE BOSS: oh PQ, i got surgical masks, you want??

am sick, very sick!

but i think i am very strong!

last friday was running a 38 degrees temperature but i still managed to catch a midnight movie with BB people! and throughout the week i went out everynight! during the weekend i had two potlucks and one badminton session!

but yes, i am still very sick!

doctor said i cannot tell people i've got FLU cos it's very 'sensitive', i must say... i'm having a common cold!
