as part of BB's social responsibility programs, i was one of the volunteers to befriend an autistic child and bring him to the huge playground in turf city for an afternoon of fun...this is my little friend J who is five years old. he's so cute and he loves to play, i had a great time that afternoon. my colleagues could all tell i was enjoying the climbing, jumping and sliding more than him! heh..the kids had so much energy and i was very relieved when it was finally time for tea break. the entire place was so colourful, it was like going for a birthday party. heh..not easy at all to get J to stay still and pose for the camera, that's the best shot i could get of him! with french fries in his mouth.at the end of the outing, we went to a nearby pizza place to cool ourselves down with some ice cold beer. wonderful friday. :)
it was the first time i took a plane from Singapore to KL! i'd either always drive up or sit a coach. so we arrived and paid for a mini bus which took 7 of us to our hotel for 200RM.7 of us stayed in 2 connecting rooms and a seperate suite. G, M and me shared a suite and here's how it looks like... lots of room for the girls to come and chillax...we managed to get a couple of pretty cool shots using my LX3! i love the red background.we woke up the next morning 'fighting' haha..very very cool shot of M flying in the air! i swear it wasn't superimposed!horizontal me...a group photo before we set off shopping for the day!the girls caught with their leperd prings and jeebraaa prings..the evening was spent chilling out at the 33rd floor's westin executive lounge... happy times are short lived.. time to go home now!I LOVE THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH EVERYDAY!!
i'm leaving for KL with the BB girls in a couple of hours time! but i'm seriously SUPER WORRIED now - why?? - because the mum just told me that some guy and her group of aunty friends are coming over to our house tomorrow.
what's the big deal you may ask? - the big deal is: that guy is actually from some dodgy equity e-platform brokerage firm who is here to use MY COMPUTER in MY ROOM to show a group of curious and clueless aunties about trading stocks online.
it sounds like an absolute disaster to me. let me remind you, the mum is the kind of person who would allow someone to convince her to part with $3,500 for a vacuum cleaner we absolutely have NO NEED for.
for the first time i'm on a 'business trip' - ie: i'm part of the dive crew and not a regular paying customer. brought a group of ngee ann poly students up to tioman for their open water scuba diving course over this weekend. i'm also using my personal dive gears for the first time, yup i bought a full set of dive gears for $1,600!! oh well in a way i think it's worth it because i dive much better now compared to using the rental gears...his name is Donovan and he's one of the students, DAMN BLUR.. but very cute. haha...how blur?? - he forgot to attach the hose from the air tank to his BCD. and he was frantically asking us "why dont have air one??"... =_=| CJ and me the ralf tech gang! we both think our wetsuit is very cool. haha.CJ and me and our supposedly 'boss' for the trip...but i think i bullied him too much! hahmel, me and cal -- our sifu (cal was our open water instructor)and... back to work on monday with a chao tar face...
i had an office party at the national museum tonight. this party was really great!!! i loved everything about it, the venue, the games, the food, the drinks, the music, the dance, the people. GREAAAT party! as i always say - i really love this company. we work hard, we play hard. and i think it's full of cool people. I LOVE BB!! (here's a video of 6 BB dudes dancing to the tune of "nobody but you" by wondergirls...we call them the BB wonderboys. it was hilarious!) the wonderboys revealed in their true forms!i remember walking past corporate functions when i was still a student. i see gentlemen and ladies clad in suits and dresses, each of them holding a champagne glass talking, dancing. it seemed like something so far away from me, but today i was part of it. champagne glass on my left hand, reaching out for handshakes with my right.. talking, socializing, dancing - they call this 'networking'...people from my department!free flow at the bar.. chionggg ahhh!!!!!she calls me "my 7am buddy" heh because we always see each other at the toilet in our most unglam look before we get ourselves ready to start work at 7am.i think she is one of those who has the most CHARACTER in BB!this company is amazing, in every single way...
