so ELam and his new GF Mliew was in HK for a couple of days. Apart from the fact that we (including AW) had an awesome claypot dinner, a very inspiring conversation also took place. E was telling us how M's dad used to own a business dealing with marbles but had later sold it off..
M's dad is still known as a marble expert.. who now works on ad hoc projects. one of his recent jobs offered by RWS was to drill holes for the elevator buttons that sits on a marble slab.. the money: SGD 500 for one hole and the entire project is for 200 holes.. ie: SGD 100,000!! btw he is not even the person drilling it! he just needs to find workers, 'supervise' them and provide 'expert opinion' on the marble..
so people.. the key here is definitely: specialisation....!!
