i went for a jog with NN, my ex-lecturer from TP. we went two rounds bedok reservoir this time. i was almost gone after our first round but NN was unsually determined to go for a second, I had to suck it up. especially since i was 10 years younger and supposedly a national athlete. oh but after completing this amazing feat, i felt a huge sense of achievement and was so glad that i never gave up trying. i remember the last time i ever completed a 2.4km was in sec three. hopefully after her 1/2 marathon event this december we'd continue to jog together next year.
you know, i always feel that the older people around me somehow spurs me to improve. whenever i see their determined faces in fulfiling their tasks, (no matter what the task is) never wanting to give up, i feel that i should do the same. the many joggers at the reservoir who are so much older than i am are there to constantly remind me to complain less and do more. i think this is an attitude which all young people should have because sometimes we really complain too much about everything.
