day 5 - beijing

we're finally back to city life!! i think we are city kids afterall (except for YF whom can really live in the mountains with the tibetian yaks) the moment we touched down we invaded EC's house, EC actually had to seek refuge in a friend's place so that me and my friends can have the apartment to ourselves. hee hee. the first night was spent cooking Hainanese Chicken Rice for XX!food looks decent but it didnt taste as good as it should be! i blame it on the poor utensils and kitchenwares =Pnonetheless, i think XX was still happy to be eating homecooked food after leaving Singapore for so long!i forgot if it was the next day or the day after when we went to The Great Wall. almost didnt want to go this time, because it was almost exactly a year ago when i visited the same place.but the thought of being in the same picture as the rest of the team... gave me the motivation to be there! hee heeit was such a coincidence that our team t-shirts are always red in colour. this trip is definitely one of the most memorable trips in my life!can you tell that we're trying to tell you it's 2008? heh.. there were lots of Chinese tourists happily helping us take our group photos because we were wearing Team China Olympic jerseys! some of them even took a photo of us! i thought it was so cool but the rest thought it was lame -__-"
